POTTSTOWN, Pa. - Sophomore Cassidy Conklin shot a career-low 86, leading the Drew University women's golf team in its season opener on Tuesday at the Ursinus College Invitational, held at Raven's Claw Golf Club.

The Rangers, who were without their top-two golfers from last season, shot a 369 to finish fourth among seven teams. Stevenson placed first with a 306 while Division II East Stroudsburg took second with a 344. Alvernia placed third with a 345 and was followed by Drew, Cabrini (406), Dominican (424), and Ursinus (500).

Conklin chipped two strokes from her previous career-low, which happened to be her final round of the 2018-19 season at the NCAA Division III Championships. She finished 10th among 39 golfers.

Junior Kristine Masseria was Drew's second finisher, placing one spot behind Conklin with an 89. In her collegiate debut, freshman Abigail Haven shot a 96 to finish 18th while sophomore Natalie Stilo rounded out the team scoring with a 98, tying for 19th. Sophomore Jenna Du Plooy also competed in her first collegiate round and shot a 107.

The Rangers continue their season Sept. 28-29 at the Cortaca Northeast Invitational, hosted by Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland.
