Senior Salute: Women's Basketball

A pair of seniors helped lead the Drew University women's basketball team to a strong four-year run under Head Coach John Olenowski.

Aly Axman and Lisa Cappiello were steady contributors for the Rangers, playing in nearly 200 combined games. They helped the team post 53 wins while setting program records for wins (18) and winning percentage (.643) during their senior year in 2019-20. They also helped the Rangers to back-to-back ECAC playoff appearances over their final two years at the Forest, including a championship game berth this past year.

"Lisa and Aly have been two of the hardest-working and most dedicated student-athletes we've ever had here at Drew," said Olenowski. "They have been leaders by example to everyone in our program. They certainly have contributed to our success in every way and we'll always remember and appreciate their great contributions."
