Drew University Athletics

When Carrie Reilly arrived at Drew from Collingswood, New Jersey, she was following her brother, Michael Reilly C'90, to The Forest. Carrie built upon her high school experience in soccer and lacrosse to excel as a defender in both sports for the next four years. By the time she graduated, with a major in English and a minor in history, she had earned an extensive list of athletic honors. Carrie played at the varsity level all four years and captained both soccer and lacrosse in her senior year, when she was named 1994 Most Valuable Player in lacrosse. She was honored as Drew's Female Athlete of the Year for 1994.

The first defender in the lacrosse program's history to achieve All-American status, Carrie was named to the National Brine/Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association second team in 1994. In the same year she was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Star First Team and the Regional All-American First Team, and was designated an IWLCA North/South All-Star and a New Jersey Intercollegiate Spring Coaches and Sports Media Association All-Star. Although she received most of her honors in lacrosse, she was named the New Jersey Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women's Woman of the Year for her achievements in both lacrosse and soccer. She appeared on the MAC Academic Honor Roll and Dean's List in four semesters.
