A starter in every field hockey game for four years, Monica led the team in scoring as a junior and senior.  She was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Star Second Team in her first year, and to the First Team as a sophomore and junior.  In her junior year she was also named to the Second Team National All-American and First Team Regional All-American and as both Regional and National Academic All-American.  As a senior, Monica was selected for both the National and Regional All-American First Teams, as well as being named the MAC Freedom MVP; in the same year she was named Division III North/South Senior All-Star.  She played a total of 79 games in four years, with 24 career goals and 66 points, and ranks eighth in career assists with 18.  Drew reached the MAC semi-finals and ECAC finals in her first year, 1995, with a 13-5-2 record; went 10-8 in 1996; reached the ECAC semi-finals in 1997 with a 10-9 record; and went 13-8 in 1998, when they were MAC champions and Freedom Champions as well as making the ECAC semi-finals.

Monica was a defender in lacrosse, playing a career 66 games and scoring 49 goals, 10 assists and 59 points.  The team won MAC championships all four years, and reached the ECAC finals in 1998 before winning the title in 1999.  Monica was named to the All-MAC First Team as well as Regional and National Academic All-American in both her junior and senior years.  She was MAC MVP in 1999, when she was also named IWCLA Regional All-American.  Upon graduation (summa cum laude, with a 4.0 GPA) as the 1999 Drew Female Athlete of the Year, Monica was also named the NCAA Woman of the Year for New Jersey.  She won an NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship and the national Woody Hayes Scholar Athlete Award, for which she was the Division III female recipient.
