Freedman led Drew to a 57-44 record and four straight Independent Athletic Conference championships. The Rangers' 19 wins in 1979-80 was still a single-season school record at the time of his induction. The point guard distributed 121 assists that season, and his 386 career assists ranked second-most in program history as of 2017. Freedman also tallied 852 career points.
