Gaetano is in her fifth season at the helm of the Drew University Women's Basketball Program. In her first four seasons, the Rangers have shown steady improvement in Landmark Conference play. After leading the Rangers to their third-straight season with 10 or more wins in 2010-11, the Rangers tied a school mark with five Landmark Conference wins, narrowly missing a playoff spot. In 2011-12 Drew landed two players on the Landmark All-Conference Team for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
A New Hartford, N.Y. native, Gaetano came to Madison in 2010 after serving on her former college coach, GP Gromacki's staff at Amherst. The Lord Jeffs were one of the best teams in the northeast region in that time period after compiling a 88-8 overall record and making two final four appearances. In 2010, Amherst marched into the NCAA Tournament without losing a game. Their only loss of the season came in Bloomington, Illinois at the NCAA Division III Final four against the eventual National Champion, Washington University.
A standout collegiate player herself at Saint Lawrence University, Gaetano was a four-year starter at point guard and a two-year captain. She was recognized in as a All-Liberty League performer in each of her four seasons as a Saint. In 2013-2014, junior Breana Wilson was named Landmark All Conference Second Team. Also in 2013-2014, she was able to achieve her best record (13-13) in the Landmark Conference.
