MADISON, N.J. (January 12, 2012) – The Drew men's swim team dropped a pair of decisions today falling to Goucher (4-5, 1-4 Landmark) and Merchant Marine (6-0, 3-0 Landmark) at home in F.M. Kirby Pool. The Gophers emerged victorious, 72-23 while the Mariners remained undefeated with a 70-16 win. The Rangers are now 3-5 on the season and 0-4 against Landmark opponents.
The defending Landmark Conference champion Merchant Marine Mariners were dominant in today's tri-meet, winning all nine individual events and one of the two relays on the day.
The highest finish of the afternoon for the Rangers came from junior
Michael Ng (Scarsdale, N.Y./Edgemont) who placed 2
nd in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:06.11.
Sophomore
Clayton Curran (Middletown, Conn./Middletown) put together a third place performance in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.68.
The Rangers compete on the road on Saturday afternoon when they take on Susquehanna in Huntingdon, Pa.
