The Drew Univeristy Women's Basketball team will participate in "Play 4Kay" weekend this Saturday February 8. The Rangers host Landmark Conference foe Catholic at 4:00 p.m. in Baldwin Gym.
Play 4Kay is an organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. The organization is named after Kay Yow, beloved women's basketball coach for North Carolina State University who in 2009 lost her battle with breast cancer.
In honor of Kay's memory the women's basketball team is raising money to help fund cancer research and will be wearing pink to promote breast cancer awareness. During Saturday's game the Rangers will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets, and selected items at the concession stand. All of the proceeds raised during the game will be donated to the Play 4Kay fund.
