Rangers Beat Saint Elizabeth In Dual Meet

MADISON, N.J. – On Friday afternoon, the Drew University men's cross country team took on Saint Elizabeth in a dual meet at Giralda Farms. In their final competition before next weekend's Landmark Conference Championships, the Rangers earned a 22-33 victory over the Eagles, with Christian Parenti (Orford, N.H.) claiming the individual title.

The teams raced over an abbreviated four-kilometer course, and Parenti notched a time of 11:53.0 to win by 26 seconds. Anatole Colbert (Toms River, N.J.) was third overall in 12:29.1, while Kyle Majid (Greenlawn, N.Y.) took fifth in 12:46.3. Tiago Dos Santos (Linden, N.J.) secured sixth place with a 12:49.3 clocking, and Nick Smale (Sao Paulo, Brazil) placed seventh in 12:57.1.

There were just six competitors in the women's race, so neither squad received a team score. Drew's three entrants, however, claimed the top three spots in the race. Mollie Ankrom (Stillwater, N.J.) won with a dominant time of 14:49.2. Violet Kimble (Edison, N.J.) was second in 17:19.0, while Zoe Camp's (Los Angeles, Calif.) time of 19:36.3 was good for third.

Next Saturday, the Rangers travel to Huntingdon, Pa., for the Landmark Conference Championships. The men's race gets underway at 11 a.m., with the women to follow at 12 p.m.
