FORT PIERCE, Fla. (March 10, 2017) – The Drew University baseball team had its five-game winning streak snapped on Friday at the Florida Gulf Coast Spring Training with a 9-4 loss to SUNY Maritime.

The Rangers fall for just the second time this season and see their record drop to 7-2. The Privateers move to 4-3 with the win.

Top Performers
• Sophomore shortstop Zach Lipshitz led Drew at the plate with a 3-for-5 day against Maritime pitching with an RBI double in the fourth inning to plate Drew's first run of the game.
• Senior right fielder Richie Poland and senior catcher Mike Miraglia each batted 2-for-5 with an RBI.
• Sophomore reliever Joshua Williams threw his second straight scoreless inning out of the bullpen, which followed junior Paul Roth's scoreless 1.2 innings with two hits and a walk.
