Frederick, Ramos Pace Rangers at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa.  – Sophomore forward Erin Frederick tied a career-high 23 points while sophomore guard Julia Ramos turned in an outstanding all-around game as the Drew University women's basketball held on for a 61-55 Landmark Conference (LC) victory at Moravian College Wednesday evening.

How it Happened: The Rangers (10-5, 3-2 LC) led by as much as seven in the fourth quarter, but the Greyhounds (10-6, 2-3) whittled the deficit to 52-50 with just two minutes left. But Drew answered with the next five points, getting a lay-up from Ramos, a jumper from senior forward Sarah Henig, and a free throw from senior guard Hailey Stine to assume a commanding 57-50 lead with 22 seconds left. Ramos sealed the win by going 4-for-4 at the foul line in the last nine seconds. Drew led 21-14 after the first quarter but trailed 29-27 at the half before going in front for good in the third quarter, when it outscored the hosts 14-10.
