• William Paterson (9-3) scratched out a run in the first before the Rangers (5-6) tied it in the second, when junior
Jon Cocchio led off with a double and went on to score.Â
• Drew went ahead for good with a two-run third, capped by an RBI-single from Cocchio that made it 3-1.
• The Rangers nudged their lead to three runs when Mitch singled home a run in the fourth. The Pioneers made it a 4-2 game in the fifth, but Drew opened up some breathing room with a three-spot in the bottom of the inning. Junior
Max Felsenstein singled home a run before Mitch provided the big blow with a two-run single.

• Castillo scattered five hits and allowed just two runs (one earned). He walked two and struck out two.
