MADISON, N.J. - Playing in their final game of the 2021 season, the Drew University field hockey team got off to an early lead after freshman
Janelle Arch scored just three minutes into the game. Unfortunately, this would prove to be Drew's only offense for the day as the team lost by a 6-1 count to Landmark Conference foe Moravian University on Senior Day in Ranger Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Rangers closed out the year with six victories, doubling their win total from their last official season in 2019.
Things started off well for Drew, with Arch taking the ball into a one-on-one with Moravian's keeper and firing it up the middle for the early 1-0 lead just over three minutes into the game The unassisted goal was Arch's team-leading 10th of the year, capping off an incredible debut season for the rookie.
Moravian quickly answered with a goal of their own less than 20 seconds later, then scored two more goals by the end of the quarter to assume a 3-1 lead. The Greyhounds tacked on one goal apiece in each of the final three periods.
Sophomores

Emily Sheridan split the goalkeeping duties for the day, with the duo combining for seven saves in total. Jackson will end her season with 82 saves overall while Sheridan finished with 24.
