MAHWAH, N.J. - The Drew University men's tennis team concluded its fall semester with a 7-2 victory at Ramapo College in a non-conference match on Thursday.
The Rangers close out the semester with a 2-0 record after defeating Merchant Marine by an identical score a week ago. Drew has now won 24 straight regular-season matches dating back to the 2018-19 season.
Senior
Dan Blumenthal and junior
John Dickey won in both singles and doubles action to lead the Blue and Green.
Drew captured two of three doubles matches to jump out to a 2-1 lead. Junior
Lorenzo Fuga and Dickey prevailed 8-2 at second doubles while Blumenthal and junior
Leo Ambrogio prevailed 8-0 at No. 3.
The Rangers went on to capture five of the six singles contests, including a 6-2, 6-0 victory from junior
Avi Perera, the reigning Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week. Blumenthal scored a 6-3, 7-6 win at third singles while sophomore
Santo Carroccia picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4. Dickey won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5, and sophomore
Jack Polvere registered a 6-2, 6-1 win at the sixth slot.
Drew will complete the bulk of its schedule in the spring semester.
