The Greyhounds took their first lead of the night during a 10-2 spurt that put the visitors up by four. They led by as much as seven midway through the period, but Drew came roaring back with a 13-2 outburst that put the hosts up 37-33 with 3:46 left in the half. However, Moravian ended the half on an 11-4 run to assume their three-point lead at the break.

It was still a three-point affair (52-49) after Frederick dropped in a lay-up with 3:51 remaining in the third quarter, but Moravian scored the final five points of the period and led 57-49 heading into the final stanza. The 'Hounds used a 5-0 surge to push their lead to 11 with 7:27 left, and the Rangers were unable to get closer than eight the rest of the way.
