Jackson Makes 20 Saves in Season Finale for Field Hockey

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Junior Olyvia Jackson made a career-high 20 saves, but the Drew University field hockey team lost by a final of 3-0 at Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference tilt Saturday afternoon.

Despite the loss, the Rangers finish the campaign with a record of 7-9 under first-year Head Coach Summer Washburn, marking the team's highest victory total and best winning percentage since the 2013 squad finished 16-4. In addition, Drew finished 2-5 in conference play, posting the program's most conference wins since 2016.

Jackson's save total was five more than her previous career-best, places her in a tie for sixth in team history, and is the most by a Ranger since Ryann Callaghan C'19 stopped 24 shots versus Catholic in 2017.

Jackson faced just two shots and made one save in the opening quarter, and the scoreboard read 0-0 after one period of play. She then proceeded to make 17 saves over the next two quarters alone. She finished with two more stops in the final stanza to post the seventh 20-save performance in team history.

The River Hawks (15-5, 6-1 LC) scored one goal in each of the last three quarters. Susquehanna finishes the season tied for first in the Landmark standings and earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.

Junior Eniya Garner and sophomore Lauren Cagliostro each picked up one defensive save for the Rangers.
