CAMDEN,, N.J. – Senior guard
Joey Meyers posted a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Drew University women's basketball team to an 85-44 victory at Rutgers-Camden in a non-conference matchup Wednesday evening.
The Rangers never trailed the entire night after jumping out to an 11-1 run to start the game. Drew led 26-12 at the end of the first quarter, 48-18 at halftime, and 71-29 after three quarters of play.
Meyers played just 22 minutes but shot 12-for-18 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc while posting her third career 25-point game.

Katrina Wojtowicz added 11 points and five rebounds for Drew while freshman
Madelyn Morgan contributed 10 points. Junior transfer
Gracie Hezel posted eight points, eight rebounds, and four assists while junior forward
Jamie Struble also scored eight points.
Jalissa Pitts scored 19 points and six rebounds to lead the Scarlet Raptors (0-1).
Meyers came out on fire, scoring 13 points in the opening quarter and 21 in the first half. Dew led 35-18 with 3:24 left in the first half before breaking it open with a 13-0 run to end the period.
The Rangers continued to pull away in the third quarter, outscoring Rutgers 23-11 while matching their first-quarter shooting performance, going 11-for-19 (57.9%) from the field.
All 16 players on Drew's roster entered the game, with all eight newcomers making their Ranger debut.
The Blue and Green are back in action on Friday, when they host Penn State Lehigh Valley at 6 p.m. in the first round of the Rose City Classic.
