MADISON, N.J. – Team and individual titles will be on the line when the Drew University men's and women's swimming & diving teams travel to Boyds, Maryland for the Landmark Conference Championships this weekend.
The three-day event will be held from Friday through Sunday in the Germantown Indoor Swim Center. Separate trials and finals sessions will be held each day, with trials starting at 10 a.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Finals will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Led by eighth-year Head Coach
Rich Munson, the Rangers have posted a number of outstanding showings throughout the season. At the Ranger Invitational back on Dec. 2-3, the two sides combined to set 10 school records and three Landmark Conference records while achieving three NCAA "B" cuts.
Both squads will be well-represented individually, as the Rangers have registered the top time this season in 20 different events.
Drew's women's team will look to defend its Landmark Conference title from last year, when the Rangers rallied from 15 points down at the start of the final session to capture the school's first-ever swimming & diving conference crown.
Individually, the women's team has posted the fastest time in the conference in nine events this season, including four of the five relays (200-freestyle, 400-freestyle, 200-medley, 400-medley). Senior
Katie Cashin has led the way with a tremendous season, including lowering her own Landmark Conference record in the 400-IM at the Ranger Invitational. She enters the meet with the conference's top times for the season in both the 200-IM (2:08.69) and the 400-IM (4:31.18), and she is the No. 2 seed in the 200-butterfly (2:12.32).
Other top seeds for the Rangers are junior
Amira Hadri in the 100-backstroke (58.06), freshman
Ece Onatca in the 200-backstroke (2:07.68), and sophomore
Sam Trodick in the 200-breaststroke (2:29.53). Additionally, senior

Harper Sensiba in the 1,650-freestyle (18:37.13), and junior

The men's team, coming off an outstanding runner-up showing at last year's championship, has also posted an abundance of fast times throughout the season, including the top marks in the Landmark Conference in all five relays.
Individually, the Rangers are led by sophomore
Hayden Koh, last year's Landmark Conference Swimmer of the Meet and Rookie of the Meet. Earlier this season at the Ranger Invitational, he broke five school records and lowered his own Landmark Conference standards in both butterfly events while achieving three NCAA B-cuts. He enters the meet having posted the fastest time among all Landmark Conference swimmers this season in the 100-freestyle (46.43), the 100-backstroke (49.55), the 200-backstroke (1:54.30), the 100-butterfly (48.25), and the 200-butterfly (1:48.56) while posting the second-best mark in the 200-freestyle (1:43.97) and the third-best time in the 200-IM (1:58.12).
