SCRANTON, Pa. – The Drew University women's tennis team capped its second consecutive undefeated Landmark Conference regular season with a 9-0 victory at the University of Scranton on Wednesday.
The Rangers (14-2, 7-0 LC), ranked fifth in the most recent NCAA Division III Region III rankings, had already clinched the top seed in the Landmark Conference Championships entering the match but went on to post their fourth shutout in conference play this season.
Drew, which has won its last five matches, also captured its 16th straight victory over a Landmark Conference opponent and its 14th consecutive Landmark Conference regular-season win.
The Rangers opened the match with three doubles victories, putting a wrap on an undefeated (21-0) Landmark Conference regular season in doubles action. At No. 1, sophomore
Mary Kalorin and freshman
Sofiya Lebedeva pulled out a big 8-6 win over the tandem of Lily Nowak and Daniella Wisniewski in a battle between the fourth- and fifth-ranked teams in the region, respectively, and are now 13-3 and 7-0 in conference competition.

Sanne Bloemendaal and junior
Melina Christodoulou teamed up for an 8-1 win, improving to 10-1 and 5-0 in Landmark play. Meanwhile, sophomore

Danielle DelRosso captured an 8-5 decision, pushing their record to 9-2 and 4-0.
Drew went on to win all six singles matches in straight sets. Lebedeva, ranked third regionally, breezed to a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1, improving to 13-2 and 5-0 in the Landmark Conference.
Christodoulou was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 2 while Kalorin captured a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3. Winning at the fourth through sixth spots were Bloemendaal at No. 4 (6-4, 6-3), freshman
Natalia Zamora at No. 5 (6-2, 6-1), and DelRosso at No. 6 (6-1, 6-2). Bloemendaal (7-0), DelRosso (5-0), and Kalorin (6-0) stayed undefeated in Landmark Conference action.
The Rangers continue their season on Friday, when they visit Saint Elizabeth University in a 3:30 p.m. start.
