Box Score ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Drew University field hockey team went down to the wire once again but came up just short in a 3-2 Landmark Conference loss at Elizabethtown College on Saturday.

It was the third straight one-goal game for the Rangers, who defeated Juniata (2-1, OT) and King's (2-1) in their last two outings.

Drew tied the game twice, the last time coming when junior Janelle Arch scored off an assist from classmate Tyler Olivio with 42 seconds left in the first half made it 2-2 at the intermission. But the Blue Jays scored what held up as the game-winning goal with 5:24 left in the third quarter.

Senior Olyvia Jackson faced 23 shots and finished with 12 saves for the Rangers.

Elizabethtown scored less than three minutes into the game, but freshman Brooke Carlisle tied it for the Rangers just over two minutes into the second quarter with her first collegiate goal to make it 1-1.

The Blue Jays went back in front on a goal midway through the second quarter before Arch netted her goal – her first of the season.

Things tightened up defensively in the second half, as the two sides combined for just nine shots. But Jackson kept the Rangers in it, making five saves after the game-winning goal.

The Rangers pick up their schedule on Tuesday, when they host Delaware Valley University at 4 p.m.
