MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's tennis team ended the fall portion of its schedule on a high note, earning victories over FDU-Florham and Pratt Institute.

The Rangers opened the day with a 5-2 victory over FDU before recording a 6-1 triumph over Pratt.

Against FDU, sophomore
Daniel Arcari and junior
Jesse Faro captured a 6-3 decision at No. 1. The Devils won at No. 2, both the Rangers won by forfeit at No. 3 to earn the doubles point.

The Rangers went on to win three of the five singles matches that were contested (FDU forfeited at No. 6). Arcari won 8-3 at No. 1 while sophomore
Nicolas Mobayed (8-4 at No. 2) and freshman
Dikshan Chhikara (8-2) completed a sweep for Drew at the top of the lineup.

Versus Pratt, the Rangers jumped to a 1-0 lead after winning two of three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. Arcari and Faro won 6-3 at No. 1 while Chhikara and Mobayed were 6-1 winners at No. 2.

In singles, the Rangers won at Nos. 1-4, receiving wins from Faro (8-1), Arcari (8-3), Mobayed (8-2), and Chhikara (8-1), respectively. Freshman
Pharell Longenbach added an 8-7 (7-6) win in a nailbiter at No. 6.

The Rangers resume their season during the spring semester, starting with a dual match at Ihaca College on Feb. 15.    Â
