SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Drew University women's tennis team returned to Landmark Conference play and defeated Susquehanna University 9-0 on Saturday in the Simon Forum.
The Rangers earned their 20th straight victory over a Landmark Conference opponent and their 18th consecutive regular-season conference win.
Drew opened the day by winning all three doubles matches, including 8-0 victories from senior
Melina Christodoulou and junior
Mary Kalorin at No. 1 and junior
Elise Parisi and sophomore
Jada Worthem at No. 3. Junior
Courtney Bresler and freshman
Riley Roesel captured 8-4 victory at No. 2.
The Rangers won in straight sets at Nos. 1-3 singles, picking up wins from Christodoulou at No. 1 (6-2, 6-0), Kalorin at No. 2 (6-0, 6-0), and freshman
Danielle Pettoni at No. 3 (6-1, 6-0). The two sides competed in pro sets at Nos. 4-6 and Drew did not lose a single game, getting perfect showings from sophomore
Natalia Zamora at No. 4, Roesel at No. 5, and Bresler at No. 6.
The Rangers continue their season on Sunday, when they host Juniata College in another Landmark Conference tilt.
