MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team nearly overcame an early 3-0 deficit but came up just short in a 5-4 loss to Stevens in a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon in the Simon Forum.

The Ducks (3-2) swept the doubles matches to build their three-point lead. Senior
Melina Christodoulou and junior
Mary Kalorin battled in an 8-7 (7-2) setback at the No. 1 spot.

The Rangers came back to capture four of the six singles matches, including a 6-2, 6-2 win from Kalorin at No. 2.
Maddie Krzanowski rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4, and sophomore
Natalia Zamora prevailed 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 at No. 5. Freshman
Riley Roesel registered a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6.
