MADISON, N.J. – The second-seeded Drew University men's tennis team advanced to the Landmark Conference final for the fourth year in a row with a 5-1 victory over No. 3-seed Moravian University in the semifinals of the conference championship on Friday at the Drew Tennis Complex.
With the win, the Rangers (14-6) will take on No. 1-seeded Goucher College (13-8) in the championship final on Sunday at the Hershey Racquet Club in Hershey, Pennsylvania starting at 8:30 a.m.
Sunday's match will mark the third consecutive year in a which Drew and Goucher have faced off in the conference final. The Rangers won last year's title 5-2 while the Gophers earned a 5-4 victory in 2022.
The win gave Drew Head Coach
Scott Veith his 100th career men's tennis coaching victory at Drew. He now has a 100-28 men's record since arriving at the Forest in January 2018.
Drew opened the match by winning all three doubles contests to build an early 3-0 lead. Sophomore

Jack Polvere won the first point of the match with an 8-2 at No. 3 before freshman
Daniel Arcari and sophomore
Jesse Faro captured an 8-4 decision at No. 2 for their 11th straight win, pushing their season record to 12-7. Seniors
Santo Carroccia and
Daryl Wong Li-Hom capped the doubles sweep with an 8-5 triumph at No. 1.
Perera made it a 4-0 match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles, moving to 11-4 on the year, before the Greyhounds (17-5) got on the scoreboard with a win at fifth singles. However, Faro clinched it for Drew, winning 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1.
Drew will be aiming for its ninth Landmark Conference crown since the league was formed in 2007-08 and its third title in the last four years.
