MADISON, N.J. – Powered by a 1-2-3 finish, the Drew University men's cross country team defeated FDU-Florham and Saint Elizabeth University to win the Battle of Madison Avenue on Thursday at the Giralda Farms Preserve.
The Rangers scored 27 points while FDU took a close second with 33 points. Saint Elizabeth took third with a score of 73.

Tommy Edwards led Drew's front-running trio, cruising the 4,000-meter course in 12 minutes, 16 seconds. Sophomore
Matt Ellis took second in 12:29 while freshman
Chris Tocci placed third in 13:13.
Sophomore
Eliot Vishnevsky was next to the cross the line for the Rangers, clocking a 14:34 to finish ninth, while freshman
Luke Krafton rounded out the team scoring, placing 12th in 14:53. Freshman
Patrick Robinson also competed and placed 13th in 15:20.
The Rangers return to action on Nov. 1, when they compete at the Landmark Conference Championships, hosted by Drew at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, N.J.
