HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Drew University women's tennis team lost the doubles point, but rallied to win four of the six singles matches to capture a 4-3 Landmark Conference victory at Juniata College Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore
Riley Roesel won at both No. 2 singles and No. 3 singles for the Rangers (9-7, 5-1 LC), who won their fourth Landmark Conference match in a row.
Roesel teamed with junior
Jada Worthem for a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, and she also captured a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
Also capturing singles victories were graduate student
Sophie Weaver at No. 2 (6-4, 6-0), sophomore
Danielle Pettoni at No. 4 (6-0, 6-1), and sophomore
Kapriana Payami at No. 6 (6-4, 6-3).
The Rangers continue their season on Friday, when they host Stockton University in a non-conference match starting at 3 p.m.
