SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Senior
Josh Kline won in three sets at No. 4 singles, clinching a 4-3 victory for the Drew University men's tennis team on Friday at Susquehanna University in the completion of a suspended Landmark Conference match.
The two sides originally met on April 12, but the match was suspended due to rain with the Rangers leading 3-1. Because the match had not been played to point, the three unfinished matches at fourth, fifth and sixth singles had to be resumed to decide a winner.
The River Hawks opened with a win at No. 5, pulling to within 3-2. However, that's when Kline came through with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 win, which proved to be the difference after Susquehanna won the remaining match at No. 6 singles.
When the match was initially held, Drew swept the doubles matches – all by a 6-1 count – to assume a 1-0 lead. Sophomore
Daniel Arcari and junior
Jesse Faro won at No. 1 while freshman

In singles play, Arcari posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 2 before Faro registered a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 to put Drew up 3-0. Susquehanna then won at No. 3, making it 3-1 when the match was suspended.
The Rangers close out the regular season with an overall record of 10-8 and a 7-2 mark in Landmark Conference play. Drew will finish as the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference Championship tournament and host a first-round match on Tuesday versus the winner of Saturday's match between Juniata and Wilkes.
