WASHINGTON – The Drew University men's tennis team cruised into the Landmark Conference championship match with a 4-0 victory over No. 2-seeded Catholic University on Thursday.
The third-seeded Rangers (12-8), who rolled to their second straight 4-0 victory in this postseason, will make their fifth consecutive appearance in the conference final. They will take on take on No. 1-seeded Goucher College, a 4-3 winner over No. 4 Moravian in the other semifinal, on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the PA Tennis Center in South Williamsport, Pa. The two sides have met in each of the last three Landmark Conference championship matches, with the Rangers winning in 2023 and the Gophers prevailing in 2022 and 2024.
Against Catholic, Drew avenged a tight 4-3 loss to the Cardinals in a regular-season matchup back on March 22. The Rangers captured the doubles point before winning Nos. 1-3 singles, bringing the match to a close after the clinching fourth point was scored.

Jesse Faro won 6-2 at No. 1 before sophomore

Josh Kline prevailed 7-6 (7-4), clinching the doubles point.
In singles, freshman
Dikshan Chhikara won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 to push Drew's lead to 2-0. Faro added a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 1 before Arcari clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2. Kline was on the verge of a win at No. 6 singles vicgory after rallying from a 6-3 opening-set loss, tying it at 6-0 before going up 4-2 in the third set.
Sophomore
Nicolas Mobayed was leading 6-4, 4-5 at No. 3 when the match ended while junior
Shivi Perera had just was forced a third set at No. 5 after falling 6-4 in the first set before winning the second 6-3.
