Faro, Arcari Earn All-Landmark Honors

All-Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Team

TOWSON, Md. – Junior Jesse Faro and sophomore Daniel Arcari of the Drew University men's tennis team have been selected to the All-Landmark Conference Team.
 
For the second year in a row, Faro earned first-team honors in both singles and doubles. Arcari also landed first-team recognition in doubles and was an honorable mention in singles.
 
Last year's Landmark Conference Player of the Year, Faro turned in another strong season this year. Competing at No. 1 singles, he finished 13-9 overall and 7-1 in Landmark Conference play, winning his last six conference matches in regular-season play. Faro also posted an 18-14 doubles record for the season, including a 7-2 mark in Landmark Conference action. He teamed with Arcari for the majority of his matches, and the two finished 16-14 and 5-2 in conference matches.
 
Arcari was a repeat All-Landmark Conference selection in both singles and doubles after capturing second-team recognition in both a year ago. This season, he posted an 8-8 record for the season while competing at No. 2 singles, including a 4-2 mark in conference play. He also recorded an overall doubles record of 16-14.
 
The Rangers (12-9, 7-2 LC) finished the regular season third in the Landmark Conference standings. In the conference tournament, they fought their way to the championship match with 4-0 victories over sixth-seeded Juniata and No. 2 Catholic before dropping a 4-3 nailbiter to No. 1 Goucher in the final.
