DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Drew University men's cross team competed at the Delaware Valley University Invitational on Saturday on the campus of Delaware Valley.
Junior
Tommy Edwards led the way for the Rangers, who were racing for the third time this season and competing over 8,000 meters for the second time. Edwards placed 23rd in the field of 116 runners with a time of 28 minutes, 9 seconds.
Sophomore
Matt Ellis was second to cross the finish line for Drew, finishing 42nd in 29:06. He was followed by senior
Dylan Crain, who took 48th in 29:31.
Competing the team score for the Rangers were freshmen
Matt Vargas, who came in 52nd in 29:38, and
Chris Tocci, who was 58th in 29:46.
Three additional Rangers raced as well: sophomore
Eliot Vishnevsky (98th, 32:22), freshman
Patrick Robinson (106th, 33:26), and freshman
Luke Krafton (109th, 33:57).
Led by race winner Louka Fetter (26:03), Messiah University claimed the team title.
Drew continues its season on Thursday, competing in a tri-meet with FDU-Florham and Saint Elizabeth University at 5 p.m. at the Giralda Farms Preserve Trail 4K course.
