UPPERCO, Md. – The Drew University women's golf team tied for second at the Stevenson University Fall Invitational on Monday at Piney Branch Golf Club.
 
The Rangers shot a 343, tying Stevenson and placing behind only Catholic University (325). Drew defeated Catholic "B" (344), Stevenson "B" (415), McDaniel College (423), and Hood College (440).
 
Leading the way for the Rangers was sophomore Josephine Nguyen, who carded a 9-over-par 80 to place second in the field of 37. She shot even-par on 11 holes.
 
Senior Roxy Riles finished second for Drew, tying for sixth with an 83 while shooting par on eight holes.
 
Rounding out the team score were sophomores Cassie Sengul and Isabella Borte. Sengul tied for 12th with an 88, which included a birdie on the par-3 seventh hole, while Borte tied for 16th with a 92.
 
Senior Emily Rhode was also in action and placed 22nd with a 99.
 
The Rangers are back in action on Saturday and Sunday at the Bowdoin College Invitational at the Brunswick Golf Club in Brunswick, Maine.
