TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. – Led by medalist Ethan Gerrior, the Drew University men's golf "B" team placed first in a tri-match versus host Marywood University and Moravian University on Monday at Stone Hedge Golf Course.
 
The Rangers shot a 308 to easily outdistance Moravian (358) and Marywood (391). Drew posted the top two and five of the top seven individual finishers in the field of 16.
 
Gerrior, a freshman, won the event by a single stroke over classmate John Diamond. Gerrior shot a 3-over-par 74 while carding a pair of birdies and shooting even par on 12 other holes. Diamond finished with three birdies and 10 pars.
 
Rounding out the team scoring for the Rangers were freshman Maxwell Diee and senior Liam Larkin. Diee shot a 79 and notched one birdie and 10 pars while Larkin recorded an 80, which included two birdies and nine pars. Freshman Peter Merk also competed and placed seventh with an 81, notching one birdie and nine pars.
 
Drew's primary squad returns to action Oct. 18-19 with The Melee, held at Williamsburg National Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va.
