MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team opened its Landmark Conference schedule with a 7-0 victory over Lycoming College on Saturday at the Drew Tennis Complex.
The Rangers (1-2, 1-0 LC) opened the match by winning both of the doubles contests that were held. Freshman
Alessandra Solares and junior
Madison Williams won 6-2 at the No. 1 position while junior
Nicole Kalorin and senior
Riley Roesel captured a 6-0 victory at the No. 2 spot.
In singles play, the Rangers prevailed in all four singles matches that were contested. Roesel rallied for a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory at the No. 1 flight while Williams claimed a 6-2, 6-1 decision. Kalorin cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 while senior
Danielle Pettoni registered a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4.
Drew concludes its fall season on Friday, when it hosts Ursinus College in a non-conference match starting at 4 p.m.
