Scholars of Distinction
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Several members of the Drew University field hockey team have captured academic honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), it was recently announced.
Seven Rangers were selected to the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, an honor bestowed upon student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the 2025-26 academic year. Making the grade were senior
Chandler Straub; junior
Beth Kelly; sophomores
Emily Caporrino and
Samantha Izzo; and freshmen
Mackenzie Cavalieri,
Natalie D'Onofrio and
Karine Johnson.
D'Onofrio and Johnson were also named as NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction, which honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2025-26 academic year.
