UPPERCO, Md. – Sophomore Josephine Nguyen captured medalist honors while leading the Drew University women's golf team to a runner-up finish among 10 teams at the Stevenson University Invitational on Monday at Piney Branch Golf Club.
 
Nguyen fired a 4-over-par 75 to earn her third individual title of the season and her first of the spring. She sank a pair of birdies and shot even-par on 12 other holes en route to a five-stroke victory.
 
As a team, the Rangers shot a 355 to finish six strokes behind Stevenson for the title.
 
Senior Roxy Riles was Drew's second finisher, carding an 89 to tie for seventh among 53 competitors. Sophomore Isabella Borte tied for 11th with a 90 while junior Dabin Lee completed the team scoring, placing 27th with a 101.
 
Drew continues its season on Thursday, April 16 with a dual match versus the University of Scranton at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, Pa.
