TOWSON, Md. - For the fourth time this year and the seventh time in her career, sophomore
Josephine Nguyen has captured the Landmark Conference Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award.
Nguyen won medalist at the Stevenson Invitational this past Monday, where she fired a 4-over-par 75 to earn her third individual title of the season and her first of the spring. She sank a pair of birdies and shot even-par on 12 other holes en route to a five-stroke victory. Nguyen helped lead the Rangers to a second-place finish among 10 teams, placing six strokes behind Stevenson for the title.
For the season, Nguyen has averaged a 76.8 over seven events and 12 rounds. She has placed in the top-five in all but one event thus far this year.
The Rangers are back in action on Thursday, April 16, when they take on the University of Scranton at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, Pa.
