It honors those student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship and are making a difference both on and off the field. These student-athletes demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. They're ambassadors for their teams and galvanize their teammates while also exhibiting respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, officials, opponents, spectators and the greater campus community.
