CSC Academic All-District Men's Tennis Team

MADISON, N.J.  – Junior Daniel Arcari and senior Devan Sutaria of the Drew University men's tennis team have been recognized for their performance on the court and in the classroom with their selections to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. They must also compete in 75 percent of an institution's matches that include a team score.

A Business major, Arcari posted an 14-9 record for the season, including an 8-1 mark in Landmark Conference play, while competing at No. 2 singles. He also recorded an overall doubles record of 14-9 with senior Jesse Faro, and the two went 7-2 in conference play. Arcari earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference First Team in singles and doubles and is now a three-time all-conference selection in both singles and doubles.

Sutaria, an Biochemistry & Molecular Biology major, earned his first CSC Academic All-District award. He captured four singles victories for the season while going 3-3 in Landmark Conference play, competing primarily at the No. 5-6 positions. He also recorded four doubles wins while playing mostly at the No. 2-3 spots.

The pair helped the Rangers finish 11-9 and 6-3 in Landmark Conference matches. Drew earned the No. 4 seed in the Landmark Conference Championships and advanced to the conference semifinals.
