TOWSON, Md. – Senior Liriana Seferovic of the Drew University field hockey team has been selected as the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week.
 
Seferovic erupted for career-highs of two goals and two assists in Drew's 5-4 non-conference victory over Western Connecticut State this past Saturday. The team's corner injector, she had a hand in each of the team's first four goals – which were all scored directly off penalty corners – to help the Rangers to a 4-0 halftime lead. She scored the first two goals of the game, tipping in shots from junior Ellie Kopec to give Drew a 2-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. She followed up by assisting Kopec on each of the team's next two goals to put the Rangers up by four, and Drew held off a late WestConn comeback to earn its first victory of the season.
 
For the season, Seferovic, a defender, has posted eight points on two goals and four assists while also posting a defensive save.
 
The Rangers continue their season on Wednesday, when they visit local rival FDU-Florham at 4 p.m. in a non-conference affair.
