Campus Recreation
About the Office
Campus Recreation’s programs are designed to meet the athletic and recreational needs of the whole community–all students, staff, and faculty. Programs provide opportunities for the worthwhile use of leisure time and maintenance of high-level health and wellness. Activities are held in the Simon Forum and associated outdoor facilities.
Our activities often fall within five major program areas:
Informal “Self-Serve” Recreation: Basketball, volleyball, racquetball, squash, and swimming are just a few of the activities available.
Fitness Activities: Cardio-vascular equipment (such as lifecycles, stair climbers, and treadmills) and strength-training equipment are located in the Simon Forum’s Health & Fitness Complex. Hip Hop Aerobics, Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Belly dancing, and Yoga classes are some of the classes also offered. Learn more about fitness activities.
Intramural Sports: Both team and individual competition take place in sports and activities such as flag football, indoor/outdoor soccer, basketball, softball, tennis, billiards, etc. There are tournaments, awards and occasional travel to regional and national tournaments. Learn more about intramurals.
Club Sports: The clubs are organized and operated by students in conjunction with the Department of Campus Recreation. They include Ultimate Frisbee, Men’s and Women’s Rugby, Running, Kumdo, Step, and Dance.
Special Events: Specific programs and/or social gatherings may be offered in conjunction with the the Division of Campus Life and Student Affairs.
