Why did you choose Drew University?
I knew I didn't want to go to a huge college, and Drew's location and size seemed to fit me well. Â I stayed with some of the girls on the field hockey team and I instantly knew I wanted to attend. Â To this day, the girls I spent time with on my overnight are some of my closest friends even though they have graduated.Â
Why did you choose your major and what is your favorite course?
I became a Business Studies major because it was what I grew up around and what I was most interested in when coming to Drew. Â After I took a few of the intro classes I knew it was the right major. Â My favorite class was my intro to microeconomics class especially because of my professor, Fred Curtis who is now also my advisor.Â
What is your most memorable moment as a Ranger?
As a ranger my most memorable moment would be the time we beat Catholic my junior year. Â We had lost to them 4 times prior, including 2 in the Landmark Conference Championship and we were finally able to beat them in a close 2-1 win in overtime. Â The excitement from the whole team truly showed how much the win meant to all of us.
How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?
Being an athlete gives me a schedule. Â I know on nights of games that I get back late I won't want to do work, so it makes me get stuff done ahead of time. Â
What is the most difficult part of your sport?
The most difficult part about field hockey is running in squat position. Â It is truly nothing you can train for, no matter what in the beginning of season you will be sore for a few days. Â The only way to get used to it is to just play.Â
Why do you wear your jersey number?
I have worn #2 since I can remember.  In every sport i played it has just forever been my number. When I came as a freshman 2 was unavailable but I made the switch back to it my junior year.  There is no specific story or reasoning just that I always have.
What advice do you have for a prospective Drew University student-athlete?
Drew is a great community for athletes. Mostly all athletes get along and being on a team gives you instant friends. I love the Ranger community and everyone really gets to know each other within all the sports and the athletic department.
Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Drew?
Community service is important as a student athlete because we are all fortunate enough to be receiving an education as well as play a sport we love and it is important to give back and help those who are not as fortunate in any way possible.Â
