Why did you choose Drew University?
I chose Drew because of it's beautiful campus along with the wonderful opportunities the school has. I also had the ability to continue playing two sports competitively which was a big deciding factor for me.

Why did you choose your major and what is your favorite course?
I chose my business major because I have always been interested in business and it works. I also knew that the Wall Street semester would be an option with this major so that helped me decide. My favorite course so far was the political economy of climate change and peak oil.

What is your most memorable moment as a Ranger?
My most memorable moment as a ranger was when we took a game from Moravian my freshman year in softball.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?
Being an athlete has helped me as a student/in the classroom by providing me with a structure to my schedule that allows me to have discipline in completing course work.

What is the most difficult part of your sport?
The most difficult part of swimming is pushing through hard practices and racing when you're tired. There becomes a point when you have to get past the fact that you're body is sore and you have to keep fighting to just keep your head down and go. The most difficult part of softball is keeping a positive attitude when things don't seem to be going your way.

Why do you wear your jersey number?
I wear number 11 in softball because as a kid I always looked up to Jimmy Rollins and that's the number he wore.

What advice do you have for a prospective Drew University student-athlete?
My advice would be to always remember that being a d3 athlete means you are doing this sport because it's what you love. Never lose the passion for the game.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Drew?
Community service is an important part of being a student athlete at Drew because it provides the opportunity to give back to the community and show that we appreciate the chance we have been given to continue education and athletics.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome...
Learning to play softball and swim with tendinitis in my right elbow and shoulder has been a large obstacle. There are times when it is hard to push through practice/ competitions when it is acting up, but my teammates and coaches help to keep my attitude positive.
