Why did you choose Drew University?
I chose Drew because of the swim team, science program/research opportunities it offers, Civic Scholars and location.

Why did you choose your major and what is your favorite course?
I became a Psychology major/Biology minor because I hope to work with kids who have special needs and these were both fields of interest that could help me accomplish this goal. My favorite course thus far was "Beauty is truth, truth is beauty, or is it?" because it was taught by 8 different professors all from different disciplines who gave us many different perspectives on what is considered "beautiful."

What is your most memorable moment as a Ranger?
My most memorable moment as a Ranger was at championships last year going a 24 second 50 free and coming in 2nd in diving, being the first diver to ever compete for Drew.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?
Being an athlete has helped me learn how to manage my time, be organized, work better with other people, and stay sane.

What is the most difficult part of your sport?
Waking up early 6 days a week and constantly being sore.

What advice do you have for a prospective Drew University student-athlete?
Do it! Being a student athlete is so worth it. You not only have an automatic sense of community and group of people to go to for help/advice, but you also have better time management skills, more opportunities and a way to be involved.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Drew?
As a student athlete, community service is important because we represent Drew and by helping out our community, we are being role models for other students and showing the community that we want to make a difference and that we are passionate about helping out.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome...
Balancing swimming, diving, school and all my other extra curricular activities at Drew while still finding time to sleep.
