Lou Colon

Lou Colon enters his ninth season on the Rangers' staff in 2020-21 after joining Drew as an assistant coach prior to the 2012-13 season.

Colon is the Rangers' first assistant coach, recruiting coordinator, fielding coach, and hitting coach.

Colon's guidance has shown on the defensive end, and he has made a quick impact on Drew's fielding statistics. In 2014, the Rangers ranked first in the Landmark Conference in fielding percentage with a .961 mark. Not one Ranger defender reached double-digits in errors, and the squad committed a league-low 53 errors. In 18 conference games that year, the Rangers posted a .980 fielding percentage, which was 16 points higher than the second place ranked team. Drew also tied for the Landmark Conference lead in fielding percentage in 2016 (.963) while finishing second in 2015, 2016, and 2018.

A former head baseball coach at Franklin High School and founder of Warrior Baseball Camps, Colon brings tremendous passion and baseball knowledge to the Drew baseball program. Colon attended and played baseball at Fort Myers Junior College. He played three seasons professionally in the Baltimore Orioles organization and two seasons in professional winter ball with the Liga de Beisbol Professional de Puerto Rico (LBPPR).

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Rutgers University.
