Zach Lipshitz

Zach Lipshitz C'19 enters his second year as an assistant baseball coach at Drew University in 2020-21.

Lipshitz recorded an outstanding career for the Rangers from 2016-19. A four-year starter at shortstop, he tied for second in school history in hits (174) and finished third in batting average (.360), sixth in runs (107), seventh in RBIs (92), eighth in doubles (30), and sixth in home runs (10). He also finished eighth in career games played (136) while making 127 starts. An outstanding defensive performer, he finished with a .939 career fielding percentage. Lipshitz was a three-time, First-Team All-Landmark Conference selection and as a senior in 2019 was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association Division III All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team. Off the field, he earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2018 and was a three-time selection to the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

In the summer of 2020, Lipshitz signed a professional contract to compete for the New Jersey Blasters in the Somerset Professional Baseball Series.Â
