Colleen O’Brien assumed head cross country coach duties for the 2014 season. She served as the Drew University assistant coach in 2013. O’Brien was the assistant track coach at Madison High School in 2013 and 2014 as well as the assistant track coach at Hanover Park High School in 2012.
A Florham Park native, O’Brien has been competitively running since the third grade. She was a four-year member of the Hanover Park High School cross country, winter and spring track teams. Currently, she can be found competing in various mud runs along the East Coast.
O’Brien earned her Bachelor’s in Health & Physical Education and graduated with honors from West Chester University. At West Chester University she played Division I Rugby and was listed on the Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll.
She holds Health Physical Education certifications in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. O’Brien was also awarded the Academic Excellence & Dedication to the Community Scholarship in 2009.
