Michael Bindas has been the Assistant Fencing Coach for the Rangers since early 2019. Coach Bindas is a certified United States Fencing Association Coach.
In 2021, Coach Bindas was honored by NCAA/USFCA as the 2021 Division III Men’s Team Assistant Coach of the Year.
For over two decades, Bindas has been active in fencing as a competitor, club coach, and high school coach in both the United States and France. He has guided numerous athletes to victory at both Regional and USA National fencing events. Before coming to Drew, Coach Bindas led the Montclair High School (Montclair, N.J.) Fencing team to medals at the 2018-2019 Overall Team New Jersey State Championships (second place) and the 2017-2018 Epee Team New Jersey State Championships (first place).
Bindas is the proud father of three children: Blodwen, Odinn, and Sigrid.
