Julie Stankiewicz enters her first year as an assistant men's and women's swimming & diving coach at Drew University in 2021-22.
Stankiewicz comes to the Forest from Seton Hall University, where she completed an outstanding swimming career as an NCAA Division I student-athlete. She established school records for the Pirates in the 100-backstroke, 500-freestyle, and 800-freestyle relay events and was an All-Big East selection during each of her last three seasons. Also a four-time Big East All-Academic Team honoree, she graduated from Seton Hall with a bachelor of arts degree in liberal studies and a minor in communications.
Additionally, Stankiewicz has served as a swim instructor for Take Me to the Water Swim School, instructing students from three months to 50 years old how to swim and practice water safety. She has also worked as the head swim coach for the Metuchen Municipal Pool, assisting with practices while helping to schedule swim meets and write meet lineups for around 150 swimmers. In addition, she has served as a volunteer for the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA.
