David Bodden was named Associate Athletic Director for Development, Club Sports and Compliance at Drew University in July 2025.
Bodden brings nearly a decade of experience in collegiate athletics and most recently served as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Rutgers University from 2022-25, working primarily with the Scarlet Knight men’s and women’s lacrosse teams. He handled additional duties as Internship Director/Coordinator for the Strength & Conditioning department in which he oversaw the internship curriculum and the scheduling of interns.
Prior to his tenure at Rutgers, Bodden worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Princeton University from 2021-22 and was directly responsible for the programming of men’s and women’s ice hockey, field hockey, men’s tennis, and men’s squash. He was also the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Colgate University from 2019-21 and Iona College from 2018-19.
Bodden is returning to familiar territory after watching his brother, baseball standout and Drew Hall of Famer Michael Bodden C’13, compete for the Rangers from 2010-13.
Bodden graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2016 with a BS in exercise science and again in 2018 with an MS in exercise science and nutrition.
