Drew Overmatched by TCNJ
MADISON, N.J. (April 7, 2010) - The Rangers fell to the The College of New Jersey this afternoon 9-0 and dropped their overall record to 3-6. The Lions recorded their third shutout of the season and improve to 7-3 overall.
Alex Belflore (Knowles Grove, England/Tasis) was the only Ranger to win a game in singles play as he took TCNJ's Stewart Fernandez to three sets. Belfiore took the first set 6-4 but lost the final two sets 6-2, 10-4.
Doubles did not fare much better but made the number one doubles and number two doubles matches interesting, falling by just two games in both.
The Rangers will continue its Landmark Conference schedule this weekend when they travel up to Huntingdon, Pa. to take on Juniata at 1:00 on Saturday.
